Muscle chains and joints are connected
to each other similar to interlocking toothed wheels. We can
only achieve balance if the pelvis (hip bones) and all segments
of the spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacral) are
perfectly aligned.
The picture above symbolizes that each individual
change in tension in one area of the body has a compensatory
effect in other areas.
As an example , the turning of the lower
toothed wheel to the left (symbolizing an anterior rotation
of the pelvis), would cause a compensatory increase in lordosis
of the lumbar spine (symbolized by the middle toothed wheel
rotating in the opposite direction). This compensation will
in turn cause the compensatory change in the thoracic spine.
What happens if the body is out
of alignment?
If the pelvis and the spine are not in balance,
the muscles experience an inner resistance and will require
more energy to deliver the work necessary for controlling
posture. This will have negative effects on the patient’s
recruitment of muscles for purposeful movement activity. When
the body’s muscles are unable to maintain the load placed
upon them, the muscles develop pain.
Vabena® aids your body to regain a balanced
position by stimulating the proprioceptors under your feet.
This stimulation will either activate or inhibit the postural
muscle chains.
Repairing the body to place the pelvis and
spine in a balanced position will relieve pain and free up
energy for increased muscular and physical performance.
